Mehr-e-Maroon Bridal Sharara in Chiffon and Banarsi

Mehr-e-Maroon - the essence of maroon - is more than a colour name; it is a declaration of intent. This bridal sharara set builds on the deep maroon foundation with peach Banarsi accents and pink resham threading that introduces warmth without diluting the palette's inherent authority. The combination reads as unmistakably bridal, unmistakably traditional, and unmistakably intentional. Designed for the baraat and nikkah bride who understands that a sharara commands a different kind of attention to a lehenga - wider, more fluid, more historically rooted in Lucknowi and Hyderabadi bridal culture - this ensemble delivers the full density of bridal embroidery across a silhouette built for graceful movement.

The Shirt

A long chiffon shirt worked with dabka, kora, sequins, moti and pink resham embroidery from neckline to hem. The chiffon construction allows the shirt to move with the body while the embroidery density provides the visual weight expected of bridal wear. The long length falls well over the sharara, creating a layered silhouette that adds visual depth and proportion.

The Sharara

Constructed in Banarsi fabric, the farshi sharara harnesses the metallic weave of the Banarsi ground as both colour and texture. Peach accents within the Banarsi pattern create tonal variation that prevents the maroon from reading as flat. The farshi length extends to the floor with additional fabric that creates a sweeping hem - the hallmark of formal sharara construction.

The Dupatta

A heavily embroidered dupatta carries the highest embroidery concentration of all three pieces, designed to frame the face when draped over the head during nikkah. Dabka, kora, sequins and moti create a border weight that holds the dupatta in position without pins, while the central field carries scattered motifs that maintain visual interest from every angle.
